Nigella Sativa from Egypt. Nigella blooms annually with pale bluish flowers and is native to Northern Africa and southwest Asia. The fruit is full of numerous seeds which are harvested and used as a spice.
Appearance, Aroma & Flavour
Small black seeds with a smoky aroma and a pungent smoky flavour.
Roast the whole seeds and add them to your dishes, grind them up and add to your spice mixes or add raw seeds to your steeped tea. The oil is used for cosmetic and medicinal applications.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a cool, dark pantry and nigella seeds will stay good for up to 1 year.
